Corryong is a small town in Victoria, Australia 120 kilometres east of Albury-Wodonga, near the upper reaches of the Murray River and close to the New South Wales border. Settled in the 1870’s as a service town to land selectors and miners in the Thowgla goldfields, Corrying is the largest township within the Upper Murray, with a population of approx. 1,400 people. Arriving in Corryong via the Western entrance with liquid ambers lining the divided road which show tremendous variation of colour throughout the Autumn months, you will find many places of interest and a host of activities.
Corryong has several festivities and events that happen throughout the year. We have listed some items of interest that you may be able to attend with your stay at our Cottages.
The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival happens annually around the last weekend in March/start of April. We recommend this event as booking in advance as we are booked out ahead of time 🙂
We have a fantastic museum in our town that provides so much history of what has happened here and showcases some fantastic memorabilia. For more information click here.
Tumbarumba is a township only 59 minutes from Corryong and offers a vast variety of attractions, you can search more on Tumbarumba here. We highly recommend visiting Courabyra Winery whilst you are there.
